AutoVRse raises $2.4 M to transform AI-powered training for global pharma and MedTech sectors
Bengaluru-based AutoVRse, India’s fastest-growing industrial AI transformation platform, has announced a $2.4 million funding round, co-led by Singularity AMC's Large Value Fund III and Early Opportunities Fund, and existing investor Lumikai, India's leading interactive media, digital platforms and games VC. AutoVRse deploys VR-based training and smart-glasses-enabled field guidance across pharmaceuticals, medical devices and healthcare. The company serves 500,000+ users at more than 50 enterprise customers across North America, Europe, the GCC and India, including five out of the Top-12 pharmaceutical companies globally (by market cap), one of the largest medical device manufacturers in the world, and several other major companies such as Intas, Abbott, Panasonic etc. The company's platform, VRseBuilder, works directly with an enterprise's own domain experts — QA leads, cleanroom technicians, clinical applications specialists — to capture their procedural knowledge in a structured, machine-readable format. Every module is authored, reviewed and validated by these subject-matter experts (SME), ensuring that the AI layer is grounded in verified expert knowledge rather than generalised data. The result is an enterprise-grade "AI Brain": a continuously enriched knowledge layer that converts siloed expertise into structured operational intelligence accessible to every technician, field service engineer and researcher — exactly when they need it, in context, and on the device they are using. The new capital raised will be used to fund compliance certifications — critical in regulated healthcare environments operating under GMP, QSR and ISO frameworks — and deepen integrations with customer infrastructure including learning management (LMS) and quality management (QMS) systems. The company also intends to scale its go-to-market in North America, where it is already running deployments with several Fortune 500 companies, and further expand its presence in Europe, the GCC and India.
IAN Angel Fund leads Rs 8 Cr funding round in Bengaluru-based startup Biodimension
IAN Angel Fund, the evergreen fund of IAN Group, has led a Rs 8 crore funding round in Biodimension, a Bengaluru-based life sciences startup specialising in New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and tissue engineering. Existing investor Campus Angels Network, Dr Sampath Srisailam, also participated in the round along with other angel investors like Aaryan Baid. The fresh capital will be utilised to accelerate product development, expand laboratory infrastructure, strengthen scientific and commercial teams, and drive product commercialisation in India and international markets. Founded by Manojkumar S., Ranjith Kumar Velusamy, and Pradeep Arunachalam, Biodimension is building biofabricated human tissue and organoid models as ethical, human-relevant alternatives to animal testing. The company’s solutions help pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and cosmetic companies generate more predictive human data, enabling faster and more reliable decision-making across research, safety testing, and product development. Despite being one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing hubs, India remains dependent on imported human tissue models and testing systems. Biodimension is addressing this gap through locally developed and manufactured alternatives that align with emerging global regulatory standards while offering significantly lower costs and faster access for researchers and industry. BioDimension’s portfolio includes BioDEpi, a reconstructed human epidermis model for safety and toxicity testing; BioDFT, a full-thickness human skin model that closely replicates real skin biology; BioDPigma, a pigmented skin model designed for advanced dermatological and cosmetic research; the Pan-Cancer Tumour Microenvironment (TME) Biobank, which supports cancer drug discovery and translational research; and BaaS (Bioassay as a Service), enabling pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and cosmetic companies to access validated human-relevant testing solutions on demand. 4baseCare announces close of Series B round at Rs 128 Cr
Bengaluru-based startup 4baseCare has raised a total of Rs 128 crore ($13.3 million) in funding, co-led by investors Ashish Kacholia and Lashit Sanghvi, with participation from existing backers Yali Capital, Infosys & growX ventures.This helps spearhead plans to expand the startup's hospital-linked genomics lab network across India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Central Asia.A significant portion of the capital will be utilised to scale its AI-driven precision oncology platform OncoTwin, to help oncologists derive treatment insights using clinico-genomic and real-world patient data.
Hoola Health raises $5 M to expand child-first paediatric healthcare across India
Bengaluru-based startup Hoola Health, formerly known as BabyMD, India’s first holistic paediatric healthcare brand, has raised $5 million in funding, led by Peak XV’s Surge, with participation from existing investor W Health Ventures, doubling down on its commitment to the company, and angel investors including Ashish Gupta, Abhishek Goyal, Bijou Kurien, and other individual investors. The capital will be used to support expansion into new markets, strengthen technology capabilities and scale Hoola Health’s integrated care model. Paediatric care in India has remained largely unchanged for decades, even as expectations around accessibility, infrastructure and holistic support have evolved. Young families are increasingly navigating parenthood without traditional support systems and with limited trusted options for ongoing paediatric and developmental care. Hoola Health aims to address these gaps through paediatric care designed around children, with a focus on convenience, trust and long-term support for the parent. The company currently provides primary and developmental paediatric care spanning consultations, vaccinations, diagnostics, therapies and specialist support, with plans to expand into additional areas including paediatric dental care. The announcement also marks the company’s transition from BabyMD to Hoola Health, reflecting a broader ambition to serve children across multiple stages of growth. Since launching its first clinic in 2024, Hoola Health has expanded to five clinics in Bengaluru and served over 20,000 families in just 18 months. Over the next two years, the company plans to open 30 additional clinics across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Delhi NCR, while continuing to invest in specialist services, technology infrastructure and parent-focused support systems. In the near term, Hoola Health aims to deepen its presence across Bengaluru before expanding into new markets.
Rayat Bahra University partners with Shukra Pharma to launch Rs 10 Lakh student startup fund
The Entrepreneurship & Startup Support Cell (ESSC) of Rayat Bahra University (RBU) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ahmedabad-based Shukra Pharmaceuticals, a publicly listed pharmaceutical company, committing Rs 10 lakh in seed capital alongside incubation services and expert mentorship for student-led ventures. The agreement marks a rare example of a corporate entity providing a named pre-seed fund directly to a university startup cell outside India’s major metro hubs. The collaboration will support student ventures across healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, agriculture, and biotechnology, providing direct industry exposure for RBU’s School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Students will gain access to manufacturing insights, patent development, regulatory affairs, and innovation challenges, bridging the gap between academic research and commercial enterprise. “Under the MoU, RBU (ESSC) and Shukra Pharmaceuticals will jointly organise startup boot camps, hackathons, entrepreneurship development programmes, faculty workshops, and innovation challenges to identify and nurture high-potential projects. The collaboration will also facilitate joint research initiatives, consultancy projects, and participation in funded programmes aligned with healthcare innovation and pharmaceutical entrepreneurship.” said Dr Simmi Prakash, Group Director, ESSC, Rayat Bahra University.
Immuneel Therapeutics secures over Rs 100 Cr Series B funding
Immuneel Therapeutics, a Bengaluru-based cell and gene therapy startup, has announced the successful close of its Rs 100 crore plus Series B financing. The round saw participation from new investors including Singularity AMC, Rainmatter by Zerodha, and several High-Net-Worth Individuals alongside strong continued support from existing investors including Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Eight Roads Ventures, and F-Prime Capital. The financing will directly fund key strategic priorities: scaling Immuneel's GMP manufacturing capacity, advancing its next-generation deep-tech cell and gene therapy pipeline toward clinical milestones, supporting the commercialisation of Qartemi, and accelerating international market entry across Asia Pacific and Middle East. Following the successful commercial launch of Qartemi, approved CAR-T therapy for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, Immuneel Therapeutics is now extending its reach into high growth emerging markets and progressing clinical co-development partnerships in Australia and Southeast Asia. The company operates India's first international standard CAR-T platform to deliver world-class therapies at a fraction of the Western costs. Yellow Fertility partners with Fertilite IVF to expand presence in South India
Gurugram-based startup Yellow Fertility has partnered with Bengaluru-based Fertilite IVF to expand access to structured, evidence-based fertility treatment across South India. With this partnership, the Yellow Fertility network has grown to 20 centres, further strengthening its position as one of India’s fastest-growing fertility care networks and expanding access to advanced reproductive healthcare across the region. Fertilite IVF currently operates 2 centres in Bengaluru. The two organisations are expected to further expand across key cities in Karnataka and neighbouring Southern states in the next few years, with a focus on improving access to IVF and assisted reproductive technology (ART) services in both urban and emerging markets. The Bengaluru centres will provide a comprehensive range of fertility services, including IVF, IUI, fertility preservation, advanced ART procedures and personalised treatment pathways. Patients are expected to benefit from standardised clinical protocols, experienced medical teams and integrated care systems designed to improve treatment outcomes. The collaboration is expected to strengthen the fertility care infrastructure in South India. It further aligns with Yellow Fertility’s broader growth strategy of establishing 100 IVF centres across India by 2030, aimed at expanding access to standardised, high-quality fertility care nationwide.
