Global Bio-India 2023 announces launch of 14 innovative biotech products

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) announced the launch of 14 new biotech-based products developed by startups and entrepreneurs across verticals including healthcare, diagnostics, medical devices, agriculture, industrial biotechnology, during the 3rd edition of Global Bio-India, a mega international congregation on biotechnology, held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from 4rth to 6th December 2023.

• Levim Biotech has launched Liraglutide biosimilar for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus in India
• Fibroplug by Fibroheal Woundcare is a bilayered haemostatic sponge dressing made from composite biomaterials such as silk and chitosan, to arrest bleeding quickly in accidental, surgical and field injuries
• CHI-1-Chemically defined serum free medium and feed by HiMedia Laboratories
• OmniBRx Biotechnologies unveiled CellBRx-IST system which is the world’s first integrated, automated & close loop platform for manufacturing of vaccines and viral vectors
• Pacify Medical Technologies has developed a fully portable surgical device called DermaDice
• India’s first in class medical device for circulating tumour cells (CTC) detection test OncoDiscover launched by Actorius Innovations and Research
• IOTA Diagnostic has launched BioSampler to enable diagnostic accessibility in remote and rural settings 
• For autonomic neurofunction testing, Inovocare Healthsoft Solutions has developed NIBRA-CS as a non-invasive baro reflex assessment- combined system
• iPanelKlean Solar has developed a disruptive patented technology in waterless solar panels self-cleaning system
• Water & Soil launched a water retainer system for reducing the evaporation loss of the soils
